A History of the World in Six Glasses: May Round-Up

In May, we read the book A History of the World in Six Glasses by Tom Standage, chosen by Amanda of Omar Niode Foundation. Thanks to members who participated by reading the book and writing a review. Here is a list of our reviews. Please visit each of them to see what everyone thought of the book.

Our June book is A Moveable Feast: Life Changing Food Adventures Around the World published by Lonely Planet, which is a collection of 38 stories about travel and food from around the world. The writers are diverse and include a few we have seen before at the Kitchen Reader: David Lebovitz (our very first book in August 2009), Anthony Bourdain (see our March 2011 round-up), and Mark Kurlansky (see our May 2011 round-up). Please join us by dipping into the book, reading a few essays, and then telling us what struck you. Please post your review in the last week (or on the last day) of the month, and come back here on the first of next month for a round-up of all the reviews.
