In November, members had the option of reading one (or both) of these two books about local eating:
- Eat Where You Live: How to Find and Enjoy Fantastic Local and Sustainable Food No Matter Where You Live by Lou Bendrick
- Just Food: Where Locavores Get it Wrong and How We Can Truly Eat Responsibly by James E McWilliams
These books were chosen by Julie of Savvy Eats. Thanks to those of you who posted reviews:
- Katherine at Katherine Martinelli
- Sarah at Simply Cooked
- Julie at Savvy Eats
- Carolyn at Food Nurd
- Liz at enter with love into darkness
In December, we will be sharing holiday recipes (with a book club theme?) during the last week of the month. Members may also post an optional book review of any food book or cookbook they have read this year. Please link back to the Kitchen Reader homepage.
New Kitchen Reader members are always welcome. It’s a great time to join as we have some exciting books lined up for 2012. Please email Sarah at kitchenreader.blog@gmail.com to learn more or sign up.
So sorry I missed November! I had unexpected surgery and am recovering nicely. I hope to join back in during December or January!
I posted as well: http://lizw.livejournal.com/606114.html.
Tanya, glad to hear you’re recovering well!
